Journey of Faith Overview

"The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in his spiritual…necessities. Instructing, advising, consoling, comforting are spiritual works of mercy, as are forgiving and bearing wrongs patiently... (Catechism of the Catholic Church #2447)

We all have hearts of mercy, that is, compassion for one another. The Spiritual Works of Mercy are acts of compassion by which we help our neighbors with their emotional and spiritual needs. What are these works of mercy, and why is it important for us to practice them?

Join our adult sessions this year as we explore these works, look at practical ways we can practice them in our everyday lives, and meet Saints of yesterday and today who embody these works in special ways.
