Our Youth Ministry Program is an extension of our Journey of Faith Program. What our young people learn throughout their years of Faith Formation helps to build their foundation of Faith and is so important in forming them into the person God intends them to be. Youth Ministry takes what they have learned in Faith Formation and applies it to real life. We ask the questions; why is our Faith important; how do we live our Faith every day; and how do we put our Faith into action?

Faith is not only “taught,” but it is also “caught!” Youth Ministry gives our young people a variety of opportunities to “catch” their Faith. Sometimes our Faith can become overwhelming and confusing when just read about in a book, but once you have an opportunity to live it, and to experience it, and to truly put your Faith into action, is when it all starts to make sense. You can then understand the importance our Faith plays in our everyday lives and what a true gift our Faith really is.

We have four “Youth Groups” that meet at different times throughout the year, each having different opportunities for our young people to experience, to grow and to share their Faith together.  This week we will highlight the groups available for 9-12 graders. Next week’s column will highlight groups available for youth in grades 3-8.
